CPT and UBAVE have joined together to bring you The Summer Ballin’ Exposure Finale.
The Summer Ballin’ Exposure Basketball Tournament will be held on July 23 through July 25, 2014 in New Braunfels, TX. CPT-UBAVE encompass over 50 years of experience of coaching, directing, and tournament hosting between its tournament partners.
The Summer Ballin’ Tournament is a championship tournament. With each team guaranteed 4 games to play.
The tournament will also include an Open Division Evaluation consisting of unsigned high school seniors and junior college student-athletes, which will be held on Thursday, July 23th.
Summer Ballin’ was developed and created to bring a low-cost, highly desirable environment for Youth Basketball Teams, Travel/Exposure Teams, Unsigned Seniors, Unsigned Junior College Basketball Players, Coaches and Viewers in the battle for exposure and/or a championship.
Summer Ballin’ will be an NCAA Certified event within the second half of the NCAA recruiting period, which could prove very beneficial to those in need of an outstanding showing that did not get much exposure at previously attended tournaments.

Charlie Harper-
Coach Charlie Harper, Jr has been coaching girls basketball for over 25 years. He is a Retired First Sergeant from the US Army, where he served for a period of 20+ years as an Operating Room Specialist. Upon retirement, he continued his education by attaining his Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing and currently works as a Registered Nurse with military veterans. Coach Harper started his coaching career on several military installations by coaching post installation men and women teams (in which his wife played on). His teams received numerous awards and championships under his direction. Coach Harper is currently the President/Head Coach of Using Basketball as A Vehicle for Education (UBAVE), formerly known as the San Antonio Lady Rohawks AAU Girls travel teams. UBAVE is a unique organization, as it does not discriminate against players of all playing levels, and thrive on teaching and training novices to help them reach their full potential in hopes of garnering an Athletic Scholarship. UBAVE mandates that players maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA to better aid the scholarship chances.


Phyllis Dallas-Morris
Coach Dallas was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She is a former basketball player, who has played with some of the great basketball players (Monica Lamb, Kim Perrot, Cynthia Cooper), arrived in Houston in 1987 upon graduation from University of Louisville after completing four years of Division 1 basketball. She played Professional Basketball in Figeures, Spain in 1988-90, continued playing sport through semi-professional basketball with Houston Flights playing exhibition games against various
Universities and colleges.

Phyllis continued participation in the sport by way of coaching High School Varsity girls Basketball and coaching inner city young ladies, giving them the opportunity to play organized basketball within a controlled environment, thus enhancing their skills and academic careers, opening up doors for athletic and academic scholarships. Coaching players Tyeisha Jackson(Univ. of Houston, Nina Norman-Univ. of Texas, Waltia Rolle-North Carolina, Adaora Elonu-Texas A&M).
Coaching and helping people is her passion; being able to use sports and academics as a vehicle to touch and enhance someone’s life is the most exhilarating feeling. She will always go the extra mile to help anyone in need. She has traveled the continent utilizing coaching and cultural skills, coaching and teaching abroad through Bejing, China, and Armman Jordan, spreading the global basketball message of skills and drills and sportsmanship.

Tonika Bruce
Proven motivational, passionate and innovative leader who exceeds business and team goals, Tonika has a unique blend of executive acumen, team-building, and leadership enhancement. As a Chief Executive, Tonika has built strong organizations that have delivered tremendous growth and success by aligning initiatives with business goals, substantial sales training, high standardization, and unwavering ethics which has allowed Tonika to achieve tremendous successes throughout her extensive professional career.
Tonika is able to taut numerous successes, building several programs from the ground up, namely Another Level Sports and ICOS.net. Tonika has lent her talents in support of executive leadership in sales, marketing, coaching, and financial collections sectors; enjoying experiences that span such a wide variety of industries. This allows Tonika to truly help organizations with their marketing, sales, and business development efforts. A few noted coaching successes are:

  • 100% Graduation Rate among her student-athletes as a Head Basketball Coach
  • Academic Team of the Year, NJCAA & WBCA Academic Top 12 and 9 scholar athletes, with a 3.1 Team GPA in a single season
  • 7th Place National Tournament Finish, State Farm/WBCA Player of the Year Finalist, 14 All-Conference Selections, and production of 21 NCAA players in three years

A love of sports helped Tonika to develop a passion and quality of doing things the right way. A collegiate basketball player and assist record holder, Tonika played for three nationally ranked teams; which include both University of Florida and Stephen F. Austin State University. After a short professional basketball career, Tonika took the lessons of competition, challenge, aggressive play and winning into her business practices.
A Florida native, Tonika holds a bachelors degree from Stephen F. Austin State University. Tonika enjoys spending time traveling, watching and attending sporting events, reading and spending time with her family in her spare time. In addition, she also takes pleasure in public speaking, cooking, listening to music and travel.
